East County Water Festival

Celebrate water at the East County Water Festival on Saturday, Sept. 8 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the East County Advanced Water Purification Demonstration Project Visitor Center in Santee.

This free, fun-filled, water-themed event invites the community to participate in interactive activities for adults and children, tour the East County Advanced Water Purification Demonstration Facility to see the science of how wastewater is cleaned and purified, enjoy free food and sample iced coffee beverages using purified recycled water. There will be face-painting, a take-home craft and much more!

The event is hosted by Padre Dam Municipal Water District. The Advanced Water Purification Program is a regional partnership with Padre Dam, Helix Water District, City of El Cajon and the County of San Diego.

San Diego Bayfair

San Diego Bayfair features some of the fastest watercraft in the world and a variety of family-oriented entertainment. Different models of high-tech racing boats speed through the water at over 200 mph. Guests can also enjoy live music, food, a beer garden and frolicking by the bay. Attractions for kids include giant slides, bouncy houses and the popular Bubble Rollers, where kids can climb into a plastic bubble and walk on water in a small pool.

Ticket are required for adults to see the races. Children under age 12 are admitted free.

The annual music festival returns to Del Mar, California from September 14th-16th. KAABOO Del Mar is a 3-day festival experience created by music lovers for music lovers. SaltDog Classic: Beach Festival 2018

SaltDog Classic is a San Diego style festival right on the ocean. Held at Seaside State Beach, this is a music and art event you won’t want to miss.

Adults will benefit from the Tiki Bar and Kids from the snacks and games. 24th Annual Pacific Islander Festival

Please join us as we celebrate our Annual Pacific Islander Festival in beautiful San Diego. It is held at Ski Beach in Mission Bay and offers two filled days of continuous entertainment from various professional dance groups and bands, over 100 booths offering delicious food, displays and many islander items to sell and featuring a children’s & cultural village. Bring your lawn chairs and spend the day with us. Pacific Islander Festival showcases the cultures and customs of Melanesia, Micronesia and Polynesia with entertainment, food, music and specialty crafts.

Cajon Classic Cruise Car Show - Downtown El Cajon

Get your motor running every Wednesday night for the Cajon Classic Cruise Car Show. Southern California’s largest weekly classic car show, featuring classic and specialty cars on display in downtown El Cajon. All the festivities are on East Main Street between Magnolia and Claydelle Avenues, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Prescott Promenade in El Cajon. La Mesa Oktoberfest

Celebrating its 45th year in 2018, the locally loved La Mesa Oktoberfest is going back to its roots to bring guests more entertainment, more vendors, more beer, and more food & fun than ever before. This is a family-friendly event that has become a fall tradition in La Mesa, California. The event features over 250 vendors who display their merchandise over the course of the three-day street festival. Additionally, guests can enjoy traditional German food, a selection of beer and various children’s activities for the younger attendees.

Oktoberfest will be kicking off the festivities on Friday, September 28th 4pm-10:30pm, Saturday September 29th 10am-10:30pm, and Sunday, September 30th 10am-6pm. Located on La Mesa Boulevard between Spring Street and 4th Street.

Bubble Run

The Bubble Run is like running through Willy Wonkas’ factory. Clad in white t-shirts, adults, kids and strollers run, walk, dance and play across 3 miles of absolute fun! Waves start every 3-5 minutes. Then, at each kilometer, participants will run through the Foam Bogs where there is enough colored foam to cover you from head to toe!
