An economist at High Frequency Economics stated, “The housing market is likely benefiting from the low mortgage rates, stronger demand for larger spaces as more and more people work from home and a desire to move away from crowded cities to avoid exposure.”
So due to low-interest rates, the demand for housing is high. The inventory is low, which drives prices up. So whether it’s buying or selling a home, you’re at an advantage.

Here’s another quote from the REALTOR MAGAZINE who questioned people about the likelihood of moving, “Nearly 30% of respondents living in high-density urban areas say that the pandemic is prompting them to want to move by the end of the year.” So people who are living in condos and high rises are wanting more rural areas.

Also, Danielle Hale, Chief Economist at realtor.com reports that “In many of the secondary home investment areas like The Hamptons and Palm Springs, the views of properties accelerated from 24% to 56%.”
So right now, the housing market looks good. We need to keep a close eye on what’s happening and not make judgments based upon inaccurate information or data.
